Our Dementia Team offer a growing programme of support for families living with dementia in Southampton.

Receiving a diagnosis of dementia can feel like embarking on a journey without a map; our volunteers, resources and activities aim to provide safe, friendly, informative spaces to help overcome some of these struggles. Sharing stories with others who have been or are also on this journey can be an encouragement at a confusing and difficult time.

However, as time goes on, there is less support from a specialist service, and the care of the carers is supported by the NHS Admiral Nurses, trained especially in helping families and individuals cope with living with dementia.
