Carole’s smile would light up a room, and brighten the many lives she connected with, whether family, friends or those she visited and befriended through her voluntary work with Caraway. Carole’s unexpected death has left a huge hole amongst her beloved family, friends and her church community at Highfield.

Carole was living a full life right to the end; volunteering, supporting friends and always prioritising her family. Her work befriending older people in the community and in local care homes was just one of the ways she cared for others. Known for her gift of hospitality, Carole was particularly famous for her chocolate cake – not forgetting the cherries on top! A testament to the warmth and love felt for Carole was the full church gathered to celebrate and give thanks for her life — and the chocolate cake shared afterwards!

Carole’s life of faith and care for others in perfectly summed up in Psalm 92:14, ‘They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green.’

Thank you Carole
