Monday’s Memory Café session brought a mix of gentle exercise, music, and plenty of conversation. A lovely lady called Elaine came and along with her husband, ran a seated exercise class. These gentle exercises, designed to encourage movement in a fun and accessible way, quickly became the highlight of the morning.
With familiar tunes playing in the background, participants used lightweight, colorful scarves to add an extra element to the session bringing smiles and a sense of joy to the room. Simple arm movements, gentle stretches, and rhythmic sways helped keep everyone engaged while also providing an opportunity to enjoy the music in a more active way.
Beyond the exercise, the session sparked conversation and connection. Songs prompted shared memories, and there was a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
It was a great way to bring people together through music, movement, and shared experiences – we’re looking forward to the next one!
